My Origin Story

They say the best origin stories have one defining moment. A moment that decides the path you end up taking.
My Story involves many cogs and gears, but ultimately, I was meant to start and run my own business. My career spans between the hospitality industry and the corporate world - from a Hospitality Executive at a now Premier League Football Club, to being a Sales Manager at a well-known venue and cocktail bar and then making the transition into Business Development for a Large nationwide corporate organisation and then a Regional Accounts Manager for an international food company over the span of 15years
I have loved and cherished every one of the career roles above as they mapped my growth, humbled me, tuned my skills and made me bigger, better and more appreciative of the life I have today.
An insight into me personally? I'm an anomaly. I get the buzz off interacting with people, however, give me a book and I'd gladly shut off from the world for days on end - infact friends have been known to tease by thanking me for leaving my book behind to come out and socialise (I'm not ashamed of that!). More about me - I am a plant hoarder, I like old muscle cars, superheroes and crime shows.
I must admit, I have had a successful career. So why in God's Holy Name did I decide to exchange that to start from nothing by being a sole trader?
Madness! That's the answer.
I LOVE cooking and hosting and having people round; however, I hate the smell of food (if you know, you know). Then I got pregnant and OMG smells were just triggering. Then my son came into our lives and so did the nappies, plus the dog. It was all too much, and I decided to do something about it. I have always known I wanted to start my own business, so why not one in home fragrances? First came the Wax Melts, then came the Scented Candles, Reed Diffusers, Room Sprays, and Loo Sprays. The odour eliminators were a no-brainer simply because they work!
Don't get me wrong, it's proving to be one of the hardest things I've ever done, and there are times where I've asked the question "Does this coffee make me look alive?" one too many times, but I am loving it. I'm enjoying learning and improving each product, I'm enjoying my customers and the stories they tell, I'm enjoying the process, and I'm enjoying life as a mum, wife and business owner.
Every care has been taken to craft a product which I would use in my own home, and I certainly won’t sell something without putting any thought to its impact on our planet because that’s the future of my children.
My values guide and support what this business is all about and my family is at the heart of what I do along with the promise I make to my son - that I will do what I can to be kind to the planet for his future.
